Last Updated: January 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to PinSuite ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use our website (https://pinsuite.app) and our Chrome browser extension (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using our Services:
- Account Information: When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to create and manage your account.
- Payment Information: We use Stripe to process payments. Your credit card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We only receive confirmation of successful payments.
B. Information Automatically Collected
We automatically collect certain information when you use our Services:
- Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics data to understand how users interact with our website (pages visited, features used). This helps us improve user experience.
- Session Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and authentication status. These are necessary for the Services to function.
- Download History: We store a record of your Pinterest board downloads (URLs, pin counts, timestamps) to display in your dashboard and enforce usage limits.
C. Chrome Extension Data Collection
Our Chrome Extension ("PinSuite - Pinterest Board Downloader") collects and uses the following data:
- Pinterest Session Cookies: The extension accesses your Pinterest session cookies locally in your browser only to authenticate requests to Pinterest on your behalf. These cookies are used to fetch your private boards and pins. We never transmit your Pinterest cookies to our servers.
- Current Tab URL: When you click the extension icon, we detect if you're on a Pinterest page to auto-populate the download URL field.
- Extension Authentication Token: A secure token generated on our website that links the extension to your PinSuite account. This token does not contain your Pinterest credentials.
Important: Your Pinterest password is never collected, stored, or transmitted by PinSuite. The extension only uses browser-stored session cookies that Pinterest has already set in your browser.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide Our Services: Enable you to download your Pinterest boards, manage your subscription, and access your download history.
- To Process Payments: Manage your subscription and billing through Stripe.
- To Communicate With You: Send service-related emails such as account verification, subscription updates, and important notices.
- To Improve Our Services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance functionality and user experience.
